# Leverage

Same effort, more effect.

A front desk team answers the same question about required documents twenty times a week. They test a clearer explanation with a few people. The question drops to twice a week. The time saved goes to the cases that really need help.

Leverage means getting more out of useful work: a reused explanation, a template, a tool, a partnership, AI. Often the cheapest leverage is already paid for.

Leverage also multiplies mistakes. Before you scale a solution, check that it works, that it can be switched off, and what it will cost to maintain.

**To start:** sort your recurring problems by cause. A shared cause often means one move fixes several problems.

**To go further:** before you buy or build, look at what your current tools already do that nobody uses.

**If you're growing a team:** you pay for hours, you get hours. The ⇄ cards cover this.

**A sign it's working:** you can say what a change brings, what it costs, and when it stops being worth it.

**Next:** leadership, so these capabilities pass on to others.
